When my children were young, they used to buy me my favourite type of candle. A Beeswax Rustic Pillar!! Each Mother's Day I received a beautiful beeswax candle. At the time I did not realize all the health benefits of the beeswax candles. I learned of that much later. I just really enjoyed the brilliant light and the extravagant honey smell of these beautiful candles. In April of 2019, I became inspired to make my own beeswax candles. I think I was divinely guided to create beautiful, healthy beeswax candles and other beeswax products for the health of others and our planet.
I began researching and reading and began to accumulate the tools required to make these beautiful candles. I learned they release negative ions into the air to cleanse the air, they are environmental since you can burn them all the way to a very thin sliver (no waste). I use cotton wick in the candles which does not harm our environment. They do not harm our home environment or our lungs and they always burn very bright. They burn quite a bit longer and brighter than the other wax alternatives.
I recently discovered the Honey Bee Research Centre begun at the University of Guelph, here in Ontario. I greatly support their work and am donating 5% of all my profits to this wonderful organization.
Beeswax has been used for centuries dating all the way back to Egyptian times. The Ancient Egyptians established the art of beekeeping. We must keep this art going, helping bees produce honey and beeswax for our civilizations and their own. If there are no bees, we will not survive as a species.
Let’s help protect these wonderful creatures!!!
